Garden City Country Club

The Garden City Country Club is a rare gem. Walter Travis was commissioned in 1916 to design the course. Since Travis lived in this community, it enabled him to give great care to its design. Today, fifteen of the eighteen wonderful, original Travis green surfaces remain.

A Master Plan has been developed that recaptures the Travis style and feel on the three greens that are not in their original form, as well as bunker restoration, tee work and tree removal.

The Master Plan was completed in July of 2006. The plan was presented to the membership, and we will be moving forward in 2011 with the restoration program.
