Hermitage Country Club

Hermitage Country Club is a wonderful private club with origins dating to 1900. In the 1950s, the club acquired a large parcel of property on the outskirts of Richmond, Virginia to develop its new course.

The club's desire was to completely update their Manakin Course from tee to green, while maintaining its enjoyable feel. Elements included the introduction of a classic tee style, dramatic hand-crafted bunkers, tight green approaches with softly contoured green surfaces that seamlessly blend into their surrounds, an enhanced drainage program and a new irrigation system.

The Manakin Course re-opened in August 2005.
