Hurstbourne Country Club
Louisville,
Kentucky
Hurstbourne Country Club began as a country estate in
the early 1800s. In the 1960s, the property was developed
for a golf course with a residential component.
The renovation, which reopened in June of 2005, included
the repositioning of golf holes to create a more inward
orientation, a complete tee program, the introduction
of stylish green complexes and handcrafted bunkers,
improved bridge positioning and aesthetics, drainage,
irrigation, cart path improvements and a sweeping style
throughout the course.
Future work will include the development of a comprehensive
tree program for the 18-hole course and a Master Plan
for the improvement of their 9-hole short course.
Hurstbourne Country Club re-opened in June 2005.
