This wonderful 1924 Colt and Alison course hosted the U.S. Amateur in 1956. I was retained after the Club looked at our completed program for the Country Club of Detroit, which was also an original Colt & Alison design.

Our work at Knollwood began in preparing a comprehensive plan that seeks to restore its masterpiece. The program will focus on recapturing 20,000 square feet of green surface, which has been lost over the years. We will reposition and reshape all of the bunkers in Alison style. Treework and tee renovation will also be accomplished.

The restoration program will be accomplished in 2009.
