Hole No. 12 at Louisville Country Club
Louisville Country Club
Louisville, Kentucky

Louisville Country Club was designed in the mid-1920s by three-time U.S. Amateur Champion Walter Travis. Since then, this private club has been altered by several architects who, with a heavy hand, left it lacking in continuity and scale.

The program, completed in the fall of 2004, reintroduced Travis' features and a 1920s style and feel. This complete renovation included tees, greens & surrounds, bunkers, a reintroduction of Travis' signature "chocolate drops," drainage, cart path work, irrigation and converting the existing Bermuda fairways to Zoysia.

Louisville Country Club re-opened in June 2005.
