In a continued relationship with Southern Hills, my work in 2004 in preparation for the 2007 PGA Championship included a full bunker restoration, tee renovation & additions and improving the practice facilities. In addition, all greens were surveyed, cored and built to USGA specifications while retaining the original Perry Maxwell contours. Surface slopes on the heralded 9th and 18th greens were softened to provide additional pin positions. At the 7th green, which was not an original surface, the green was rebuilt to blend in with the style of the original 17 Maxwell greens.
